W+K’s Tatum Shaw Exhibits Photography Art Show Etowah at First Thursday

Last Thursday, W+K Portland opened its gallery doors for an exhibition by our own Tatum Shaw, a copywriter. We spoke to Tatum about the photographs of his family in Georgia, why being terrified probably means you’re making great art, and how the agency helped set him on his artistic path. See the Magic Tonight with Crystal Schenk, Shelby Davis and the PSU Chamber Choir in the W+K Portland Gallery Space

Every month, the W+K Portland office opens its doors for the First Thursday crowds, and this month’s gallery exhibition is a true winter wonderland. Local artists Crystal Schenk and Shelby Davis have brought unicorns, narwhals, winged wolves, owls and more under one roof. Tonight, you can see their magical creations and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and a performance from PSU’s Chamber Choir.

W+K Community & Mayor Sam Adams Celebrate First Thursday Portland Incubator Experiment (PIE) Ribbon-Cutting


Members of Wieden+Kennedy, the Portland tech community, Mayor Sam Adams and our friends and associates gathered together for last week’s First Thursday to celebrate the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Portland Incubator Experiment (more commonly known as PIE), a collaborative center that partners leading brands with technology innovators to cultivate community, entrepreneurship and creative thinking.

Space Ducks Recap

Our August First Thursday exhibit, Space Ducks, generated a crowd that left pleased and entertained. We put on a show that featured Daniel Johnston’s authentic and original work from his upcoming adventure comic book, Space Ducks. Many people took that adventure home with them and every piece was sold out before the show even began. Daniel Johnston will be performing live on August 25th in our lobby so be sure to stop by. Big thanks to all of those who contributed to making this event a success and everyone who showed their support.
