W+K Goodness Designs Posters For Nepal

WKGoodness_Nepal_Homepage_NickThe devastation created by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal almost two weeks ago has far from subsided. PDX Studio’s W+K Goodness wanted to use their design skills to raise awareness and funds to contribute to the continuing relief effort. For a minimum of $20, you can support Nepal, and receive the posters below as a token of our appreciation.

The posters were designed independently of Mercy Corps, with whom we have no affiliation. Contributions exceeding $20 made through the W+K Goodness Website are not tax deductible. All proceeds raised will be donated to Mercy Corps.

Designer: Nick Ostini
Description: This poster is a celebration of the Nepali people and looks toward the future as they begin to rebuild their lives. Their culture, beliefs and resiliency will see them through this tragedy, all of which are represented through bold, bright colors, the upward movement and motion of the lines and the overseeing eyes that are traditionally on the top of temple stupas and represent wisdom and compassion.
Details: Each poster is 18″ x 24″ and printed on Neenah Classic Crest, Antique Gray 80 lb. Cover.

Compassionate Ascent

Designer: Raina Jung
Description: In this poster you see White Tara, a Buddhist deity, sitting within the silhouette of Mount Everest. Prayer flags flow from the mountain’s peak. White Tara has a transformative nature and represents compassion and healing. As the tallest point in the world and residing within Nepal, Mount Everest represents rising up and rebuilding to new heights. The subtlety of the print, white ink on off-white paper, is meant to give an uplifting feeling as though the strength of the mountain and the compassion and healing of White Tara are always around us and within us, though we may not see them directly.
