Last week was all about celebration for our global offices, who partied for engagements, new babies, multiple holidays, awards and season finales. And there’s even a gif of the week to prove it.
Recently, Iain Tait, our global interactive executive creative director, was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement, which “aims to “recognize young talented individuals who are reinventing the profession of advertising.” Check out Iain’s excellent acceptance speech on why he’s not an ad guy and see some photos from the event below.
This week, Portland, London, Delhi, Tokyo, W+K Studio and the Kennedys get reflective, with film festival documentaries, peeks at the neighborhood, work, music and the future. Check out our favorite global posts below.
During their time in the program, W+K 12.7 members Jin Ryu and Yi-Fan Lu spent a lot of time walking the streets of Portland, absorbing the city culture and seeking inspiration. When they met Jeff Frase, the owner of Cameron’s Books, a used book store on SW 3rd and the second-oldest in the city, they found a story waiting to be told. The resulting 5-minute documentary has now been selected for the 38th Northwest Filmmakers’ Festival. Check out our interview with Yi-Fan, as well as the documentary, below.
This week, our global offices got spooky for Halloween, and still found time to volunteer in the community, get inspired, launch new work and reflect on objects and internet consumption. Check out our pics for the top global posts from Portland, London, Tokyo, Amsterdam, W+K Studio and the Kennedys below.
