Oregon Manifest

The Oregon Manifest was held this weekend. It was a bike show/cultural festival/race/party showcasing Oregon’s take on what cycling means in 2008.

This show has grown organically because Portland is home to the best hand built bike builders in the world. This really is an elite group of individuals who work from small workspaces around town, but who are known and talked about in cafes and bars in Italy.

We had the launch party on Friday at work. We had a small show called “Autobikeographical”, where we showed the personal bikes of the Oregon builders with some photography of the builders themselves.

We were also lucky enough to show a cutdown showing of the bicycle film festival in the atrium.

Heineken gave us some beer, Coke gave us some Coke and 1000 people did the rest.

It was a lot of fun, but wouldn't have happened without a lot of people.
