David Kennedy pulled out the old Santa suit and made his way through the halls of W+K. Santa turned off the lights, locked the doors and closed the office for the Holiday. We’ll be back January 2nd!



Merry Christmas

It’s that time of year again. Time to go over to Michele’s house for the annual holiday party. Nothing says party like fiesta! Well, actually fiesta is party. And nothing says white elephant gift exchange like yard art, crock pot, dildo, re-gift, moon boots, marmalade, fondue set, disposable cameras, a clock featuring fowl of the NW and of course, Jesus toast.

Heineken USA Names Wieden+Kennedy Agency of Record
For Heineken Brand Advertising

White Plains, N.Y. – Dec. 14, 2007 – Heineken USA, the nation’s premier beer importer, today announced its decision to transition its English-language advertising agency of record assignment for Heineken Lager and Heineken Premium Light to Wieden+Kennedy in Portland.  They replace Berlin Cameron United, who had held the responsibilities for the Brand since March 2007.

“We recognize that the launch of a new communications platform for flagship brand Heineken Lager in the U.S. that raises awareness and builds equity for Heineken Premium Light is a complex and unique assignment,” said Don Blaustein, president and CEO, Heineken USA. “We feel that Wieden+Kennedy’s global perspective, vision and insight will enable us to build equity with our core consumer and help us meet our ambitious growth objectives for Brand Heineken in the U.S.”

Reggie Watts stuck around after a performance for PICA the night previous to fill our heads with complete sense out of the nonsense that is boyant in our culture these days. Reggie gave us a freestyle monolog with beatbox samples that unraveled into a fluid mix of sound and dialog.
