As the rain continues to fall in Portland and our thoughts drift to the triumphant return of spring, we must again acknowledge that another year of 12 is nearing its end. The fine people of 12.3 have brightened up the building not only with their consistently provocative work, but also with their winning, never-say-die personalities. They will be missed.
But look out, folks! Here comes 12.4, with an all-new look and some different faces taking the reins. Susan Hoffman, Carrie Brownstein, and Janice Grube will be running the fourth year of 12. They've spent the last few months reviewing hundreds of applications that were submitted from all over the country. 19 applications were selected.
W+K invited all 19 candidates to Portland for a weekend-long rendezvous complete with boozing at the Matador and Sunday brunch with Dan Wieden. The whirlwind tour concluded on Monday with a visit to the office to meet the people of W+K, followed by a sweat breaking game of Frisbee in the atrium.

OMG!!!! Carrie Brownstein?!?!?! She's totally my hero! I'm jealous. Had I not already gone into debt one time via the Miami Ad School, I would have jumped on the wk12 boat. Man, you're THE COOLEST, Carrie Brownstein. Saw your last show and it was KILLAH! Although, I wish you would have played "Dig Me out." xoxo

Don't try to hard, the best things come when you least expect them to. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
